ReMAINE Calm!

After the fun chaos that New York City is, how wonderful to retreat to a log cabin on a lake in Maine. Sounds almost too good to be true, but it really is!

It didn't take long for our crew to get out in a boat!

This was our parting view. Not your typical image of a log cabin, is it? It is the amazing (part-time) home of Mark's Dad and Bonus Mom. They are loving hosts! That yellow contraption in the foreground is Waffle Island, just the right distance to swim out to, layout on and jump off of. ;)

Does she look pleased to be on the lake or what?

Gayle even had a little creature come land on her and hitch a ride!

I LOVE riding on a boat. So relaxing and refreshing.

And I'm not the only one...

Well, this is one interesting way to make a boat ride a little more challenging.

Sweet, crazy Ainsley had so much playing around on the boat and taking in all the sights.

Learning from Gramps Fuzz.

And when any time on the lake was over (boating, fishing, kayaking, swimming or tubing) what a nice place to return home to.

This was just one of a week full of wonderful experiences!
