What a lovely Christmas!

Well, we've already celebrated the New Year, but I didn't want to skip adding a few pictures from our wonderful Christmas Day. It's been great spending so much family time--the reason I'm blogging so belatedly in the first place. Anyway, Ainsley woke up on Christmas morning to the music from her brand new clock...
This was the gift she was most looking forward to receiving and she told everyone about getting a clock for Christmas. See, what it means is that she can now get out of bed on her own...when the alarm (set to music from the Little Mermaid cd) sounds. Until now, she has always had to call in Mommy or Daddy when she wanted to get up. And, amazingly enough, she did always stay in bed until we gave her permission to get up!! We decided to count our blessings and give her some big girl freedom!

Santa actually brought her this pair of remote-controlled vehicles. Here she is still not really awake trying to figure them out. :)

About to open a present from Nana and Gramps Fuzz in Princess wrapping paper!

From Grandmommy and Granddad she received Twister and we had to commence playing immediately. She loves it, obviously!

Quick rest time on the way to Mam Ma's house where we ate, celebrated and exchanged gifts with Mam Ma, Uncle Dean, Aunt Mimi, Uncle Brad and cousin Carson.

For anyone who saw, experienced or heard the legend of last Christmas at Mam Ma's, here is proof of a much more reasonable gift exchange! ha!! Mam Ma was still extremely generous in her gifts, though!

When we ate, the kidlets had their own table complete with candlelight.

This big gift for Ainsley was her big art easel from Mam Ma.

When we got back home that night, Ainsley couldn't wait to use her easel some more. Daddy drew a picture and Ainsley copied it. We were both impressed as this was the best drawing we had ever seen from her. She does love her arts and crafts. :)
