Ainsley went to a gymnastics party this weekend--and look what she is doing on the uneven bars. Besides making me proud and practically giving me a heart attack at the same time!)
And, I'm very happy to say that Ainsley is swimming! She just started swimming this weekend. We are in shock at her quick progress. Yay, little fish!

Oh my goodness! Great job Ainsley. I can't help but compare here; know I shouldn't... but. Evan won't even get his face wet still. Good grief. We have a LONG way to go, clearly.
Michele - Evan may not be that far from doing the same thing. Just about a month and a half ago (when we started getting in the pool this season), Ainsley did not like getting her face wet and was afraid to put it under water. New goggles (with a good seal) helped her keep water out of the eyes which made her less nervous, plus she liked being able to see under water with them. We worked with her on little steps along the way, but once she saw her cousin Lexi swimming last weekend without her life jacket, Ainsley got a little more brave and just decided on her own to go for it! It surprised us how quickly she just decided the time was right to swim.
